From CrossFit to Fitness Trainer Certification!

My name is Barbara Haider. I’m 31 years old and completed my training to become a Certified Fitness Trainer from October 2017 to February 2018. I’ve been active in sports for a very long time—in the past, mostly ball sports. For the past 6 years, however, I’ve been riding my road bike a lot, and for the past 3 years, I’ve been doing CrossFit in addition to road biking. My primary motivation for pursuing this certification was for my own benefit, since I’m very active in sports.
Gradually, however, it became clear that I’d also really like to help people get fitter. Plus, it’s a lot of fun to help people reach their goals step by step and turn what starts out as a “must” into a passion for exercise. I looked into several other providers, but the Flexyfit Sports Academy appealed to me the most, and the course content made a very good impression. And as the classes progressed, it gradually became clear what was right for me. Since I’ve been working as a freelance UI designer for many years—which means I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and have a stressful daily routine—I work out with people who are in a similar situation. I know how important it is to find a balance to the stresses of everyday office life. Specifically, this means sessions that last 60–90 minutes and work out the entire body. These sessions are suitable for beginners as well as advanced and professional athletes.
Weather permitting, I prefer to train outdoors, incorporating the surroundings, as this allows me to keep the workouts interesting and varied. My clients appreciate that a single session can work out their entire body, that outdoor training is very varied, and that it doesn’t require a lot of large equipment.
